Growth in Corporate Prayer

to become a passionate, praying people taking opportunities in all of our activities to pray as we are led by the Holy Spirit:

• in our Sunday services

• in Pray @ 8

• through our Prayer Teams, Prayer Diary & Prayer Link

• in our Cell & House groups

• through Prayer Triplets or other creative ways of praying

• in and for our community activities eg Teas & Tots, God’s Angels etc.

Growth in Cell Groups

• through putting into practice the values of Cell (See front) we will seek to:-

love God,
love one another,
love the lost

   and so see our groups grow and multiply

• we will seek to apply God’s Word, taught on a Sunday, to our lives

• we will encourage all associated with the church to share in the life of a cell group.

• we will seek to train and equip one another for service

• we will use our groups to reach out to ‘not-yet Christian’ friends through social and evangelistic activities.

Growth in the ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit

• we will seek to encourage a growing openness to the ministry of the Holy Spirit amongst us:-

in our Sunday services
in our Cells and House Groups
in our Prayer life
in our life and service in the community

• we will encourage a desire for filling by the Holy Spirit, through our teaching, through prayer and through sharing in retreat and conference days, locally and within the wider church.

 • we will encourage a desire for spiritual gifts, especially the greater gifts to build one another up

Growth in membership to 100

• we will encourage all Christians who are regularly a part of church life to become members as a sign of commitment to Christ and His church here

• we will encourage those seeking a spiritual home to ask the Lord whether they are being called to share in the life of this church

• we will provide opportunities for those seeking spiritual life to find out more about Christ through seasonal and evangelistic activities and courses such as Alpha

• we will share our faith through our relationships with ‘not-yet Christian’ friends - through our Cell groups and through service to the local and wider community.

Growth & Opportunity

The next 5 years of Growth & Opportunity

Over the last four years we have seen many areas of development in our local church life.

• we have seen a commitment to prayer grow in the life of the church

• we have seen our small groups grow and develop as we have begun to take on board the values and principles of Cell

• we have begun to see steps forward in openness to the Holy Spirit and His gifts and we now need to see a deeper longing for Him and His fullness as well as  an active seeking after all His gifts

• we have seen development in terms of our community involvement and we look forward to the first signs of growth in membership to confirm our belief that we should consider seeking larger premises to accommodate the range of activities that takes place in the present small number of rooms.

We need to continually be open to what the Holy Spirit may want to say to us and how He may lead us on. Let us keep in mind His words to us in May 2005:-

My dear children – I love you and I rejoice in your love for Me and in your longing to serve Me. My hands are full of blessing which I long to pour upon you. Let go of the good that you are holding on to that I might give you the best I have for you.

I want to set you on fire and so quicken you that you will glow with My light and life and those outside will see and be drawn to My light.

I know your heart and your earnest desire to obey Me. I love you and long to share My heart with you. Your love for Me delights My heart.
